Happy Friday!

Are you doing anything for Valentines Day?

After being together for ages (and I mean that in a good way), Paul and I don't really put much importance on the day

I feel like society puts so much pressure on couples to have the 'perfect day'

Which I think can cause a lot of stress

You always see men rushing around, red faced

Grasping the last bunch of flowers they could get their hands on

And you can't miss all the 'humble brags' on Facebook!

Although, I do remember early in our relationship Paul turned up to my house with a card that was about a foot high and a teddy about 3 foot tall!

I thought it was a very sweet gesture, but after a few days I just thought 'What the hell am I going to do with this thing?'

haha

We prefer to do special little things together, not just lump it all into one day

Although we did get each other cards

Next week we're having a little date day

We'll probably just wander around London, chat and get a bite to eat

Simple, but perfect

♥ 80's Loves Part 2 ♥

Ok...So next up is.......

Edward Scissorhands!













I have seen this film so many times I've lost count, and everytime I watch it I cry.
It's such a beautiful film and the music adds so much to it. In fact, I only have to listen to the music and I get a little teary eyed.
Edward is such a lovely character and you really feel his pain and loneliness.
I love the scene when Winona Ryder is dancing outside in the snow
















Apparently the street it was filmed on is just north of Tampa, Florida and is called Tinsmith Circle.
Unfortunately the houses aren't painted pastel colours anymore, but didn't they look amazing?












I really want to watch the film now....
If you haven't seen it, you HAVE to watch it!

This film stole my heart as a child.
I LOVED Sarah! Her dress, her jewellery, her bedroom!
When I was younger I thought she was amazing.
The story is amazing, as are all the characters.
When I will little I would sit with my sister and we would watch from beginning to end and sing ALL the songs!
