* Graduation, Looking to the Future & Alice in Wonderland *

So Friday was my university graduation!
It was 11am and we booked a taxi for 8.45 so I had time to get there and register etc.

I got a text message just as we were due to get picked up saying our taxi was going to be late.
Ok, I thought. We were leaving early anyway so we had plenty of time to get there.
A little stressed but ok...
25 minutes later, no taxi!
Uh ohhhh!
The next 5 minutes was a call that was put on hold which seemed like FOREVER.
Eventually we got told it would be 10 minutes
Stress rising a little more....
To cut a long story short, it turns out the taxi company didn't have any idea when our taxi would get here!
Arghhhhh!

Luckily after some calling around the boyfriend finds a nearby taxi firm that can get here in 5 minutes!
After some speedy driving and A LOT of overtaking we go there!!!
Phew!!!

The day was perfect. Emotional, happy and shared with people I love.
Unfortunately my boyfriends parents couldn't make it, but I felt they were with me on the day
And......I didn't trip on stage!!!

(I am quite clumsy and had sooo many people telling me 'watch your step Claire' and 'Don't trip on your gown' HAHA)

So college is finished for me and I am excited to see what the future holds for me
But next I really want to visit my boyfriends parents, family and friends in Wales.
I miss the beaches, fresh air and of course loved ones.
My old flat was right by the beach and my boyfriend and I would often go down to the waters edge and watch cute puppies splashing around in the sea! Lovely

Interesting fact:
Looking over the beach where I used to walk used to be the hotel which was once the holiday home of Alice Liddell, the girl who inspired Alice in Wonderland. On the front there is also an Alice statue. Unfortunately it was knocked down late last year.

The town also used to have an Alice in Wonderland mini museum called 'The Alice in Wonderland Centre' but it also got closed due to lack of interest. http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/tauspace/llandudno.htm
They had an indoor walk-through Wonderland Rabbit Hole with life-sized animated displays of well known scenes from the Alice story. I went when I was little and again when I was about 17 (I always loved the story) They had an adorable gift shop and I always wanted an Alice dress. Maybe one day I will get one.

If you ever get the chance to visit Llandudno, do. It's such a cute little town and some of the bu
ildings are listed and have have stayed true to the Victorian style of the past.

More Cats?

Ok, so this post is about cats?
I may come off as a crazy cat lady and I 100% embrace it!
Cats are soo unique and wonderful
I am lucky to have in my life a little girl called Sisco who is not the most affectionate-but damn, she is feisty!

Throughout my childhood I have been around "crazy" cat ladies (I say that in a GOOD way)

Here are a few little girls I feel lucky to know!

First up.....
Sadie Queen
The most beautiful hearted little lady I have had the honor to know
She was rescued by my Gran Patricia (My mother mum) Patricia would find a lost frog in her garden and try and find it a home (The crazy begins)
I was lucky to know Sadie from the age of 8 until 26.
She was so full of love and purrs. An amazing little lady
So precious!

Next up.....
Little Chris and & Louie

This is Lucy (aka Louie)
She was rescued from a farm where she had unfortunately lost her siblings
Lucy was born deaf so she needs a lot of care.
She takes a while to trust but it's worth the effort!
She loves Sunshine, strokes and warmth!

Oh...She Loves the camera!

Next is little Chris
She's a tough chick and doesn't take any C**p!
She is lovely though and will give you her undivided attention!
She loves crunchy crisps and other yummy things!

Next up
SPIKE!!! (Aka Spiddles!)

I got to know Spike through my in-laws
My boyfriends parents seem to attract animals!
Well, Spike wasn't just attracted..Spike fell in love!
He would love nothing better than fall asleep on your knee..Oh and food!

Spiddles..you have the BEST purr!!!!

This post is dedicated to Linda & Ted
You both always made me feel comfy, loved and happy like a cat!
Love you!

The Poppy Tree has some of the cutest artwork I've seen!
I have to click off her etsy page because I want so many of her prints and I will have no money left!
And now she makes stickers and charms? Oh no...There goes all my money!
So sweet!

4.
Next up Brian Rubenacker's artwork.
So funny and cute!
I love Boston Terriers and pugs!
Also, another reason to buy his artwork is that he licensed some of his art to Helping Udders who donate a lot of money to rescues every year.

See? Look at those little faces!

Hope everyone is having a good Monday!
I'm off to put ice cubes on my cat Sisco's paws because she's so hot!

♥ 80's Loves Part 2 ♥

Ok...So next up is.......

Edward Scissorhands!

I have seen this film so many times I've lost count, and everytime I watch it I cry.
It's such a beautiful film and the music adds so much to it. In fact, I only have to listen to the music and I get a little teary eyed.
Edward is such a lovely character and you really feel his pain and loneliness.
I love the scene when Winona Ryder is dancing outside in the snow

Apparently the street it was filmed on is just north of Tampa, Florida and is called Tinsmith Circle.
Unfortunately the houses aren't painted pastel colours anymore, but didn't they look amazing?

I really want to watch the film now....
If you haven't seen it, you HAVE to watch it!

Next is.......
Labyrinth!

This film stole my heart as a child.
I LOVED Sarah! Her dress, her jewellery, her bedroom!
When I was younger I thought she was amazing.
The story is amazing, as are all the characters.
When I will little I would sit with my sister and we would watch from beginning to end and sing ALL the songs!

My favorite characters...Sarah

Ludo
The gentle giant

Sir Didymus
Amazing little guy

The Worm!!!
Such a cutie!!

♥♥ I love this picture ♥♥

80's Loves ♥♥♥♥

I am a total 80's kid!
Sometimes there's nothing better than snuggle up on the sofa with my boyfriend and cat on a cold day and watch our favorite films from our childhood

First favorite is The Goonies

http://www.squidoo.com/the-goonies-house

I LOVED Mikey!
I love everything about this film plus it has music from Cyndi Lauper, which is always a bonus!!
This site is amazing because it has info about the film and all the places the movie was filmed.
I really really want to go there someday.

Next up is The Wizard....

I vaguely remember this film from my childhood. But was reintroduced to it when I met my boyfriend. He LOVES it! He claims it's because he loves nintendo, but I think it has a bit to do with Jenny Lewis!
Anyway, this film is so nostalgic, sweet and heartbreaking. If you watch this, you will cry!

The place we would both love to visit is the Dino in the film
http://www.cabazondinosaurs.com/main.htm

Such a sweet film and definately worth watching if you haven't seen it!

Ahhhhh ♥♥♥♥♥

Part two tommorow..
What are your favorite films?
