Post Pals
I first heard about Post Pals about a year ago.
It is a charity set up by a young woman named Vikki, who has suffered with illness since she was young. When she became bedbound it struck her how isolating illnesses can be.
What kept her upbeat was the amount of cards she received, giving her something to look forward to each day.
This is when she decided to set up Post Pals.
Since then she has won "Readers Digest Hero of the Year 2006" and "Beacon Award for Young Philanthropist 2008".
She is truly inspirational and has affected so many childrens lives in such a positive way
I have send gifts and cards on and off since I first discovered postpals.
Words cannot describe how lovely it is getting an email off a parent, letting you know you have helped in some small way to put a smile on their childs face.
There are so many things people can do to help. Even an email makes a difference.
Please take a few minutes out of your day and see if there is anything you can do to help.
